I am too, for sure
it needed its own haiku
and it's actually short

it's almost like a miracle
we'll see for how long

well, actually,
I love dark and dreary days.
it's almost soothing.

I still remember
Ocean City in the rain.
it was dark and cold

but there was one man
who was out windsurfing then
in spite of the gloom.

I can see him still --
skimming along the shoreline
in a rainy fog.

with the sky flat gray
it's like there's no day at all
sunrise or sunset

I like rain fine, but
I think I'm solar powered
at least, it helps me

11 o'clock
Is when I woke up today
I love my free days

I just realized
Still don't have your livejournal
friended. How shameful.

My haikus need work
They refuse to flow just right
I blame sleepiness

my livejournal now
has the same things as this one
you're not missing much

Friended anyway
For the sake of completion
And my piece of mind

I think probably
you meant to say "peace of mind"
it's funny your way

Yes. Yes, that I did.
Again I blame sleepiness
For my typo fail

Sleepiness is a good one
it was still funny

you're ahead of me
I have managed 1.5 of those
I should have lunch now

I'm never awake
until contacts are in, though
so that's a good step

nine syllables is too much
really, learn to count

have a sammich now
ham salami cheese spinach
and pepperoncinis

should stop haiku-ing
and actually eat it
would probably help

Something that should be eaten
And enjoyed posthaste.

Yay, I am so glad that
our stupid escape-y cat
has come home again

I missed two busses
searching the neighborhood and
calling her name out

close to aurora
is no place for a kitten
to break for freedom

my haikus also
are rather uninspired
I'm too linear

True. And I don't know
how IC you could be in
haiku-only form.

I am pretty sure
that Graham would not do haiku
very well at all

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]mahokiwi

No, probably not.
Ladd would be a bit of a mess.
Capell could do it.

But, is Capell's voice
that different from my own
if we're in haiku?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]cadence
2008-11-13 02:13 pm UTC (link)
possibly it's not
would have different topics though
and haiku are fun

Perhaps he'd start out
Okay, but then as he talked
Lose track of what he's supposed to be doing and keep talking and talking and not paying any attention to constraining his syllables at all because that's how wordy bastards like him roll.

...whoops.

[info]cadence

I was thinking he
would never say anything
with any content

He would ramble on
Repeat things a lot a lot
And not get to the--

XD oh Graham. But
would that really be different
from his normal speech?

she sounded so sad
and her heart beat so quickly
when I brought her in

but yes, I agree
exposition by haiku
is quite difficult

also: syllables.
surprisingly hard to count.
you didn't see that.

Once I'm in the flow
I think I start adding more
syllables to things.

failed at math, I think
four plus two is clearly seven
dumb exposition

you deleted your
comment, now the flow is messed
up. What tragedy.
