Breaking in the new journal...

As I'm sure nearly everyone watching this journal has seen mentioned elsewhere by now, yesterday I was over at laylah and mahokiwi's place for cake and Baccano! Which is really an excellent way to spend a day. It was actually really fun to watch it with other people when we'd all seen it multiple times before, because you continue to notice new things or come up with observations and you can make conversation about them without spoiling anyone. ^^ Also: delicious cake.

And today was really nice too - I slept in, like I do, and then I sort of lounged on my couch with my laptop a bit. Only it was sunny today (and high of 57! OMG!) and at that point in the early afternoon the sun shines directly in my window at the couch, so I actually got kind of overheated laying there in the sun. Isn't that awesome? I think that's pretty awesome. It definitely counts as not-winter now.

Anyway. Then I proceeded with the rest of the plan for the day, which was to deposit myself in a coffee shop with my notebook and do some focused writing, which is something I haven't managed to do in forever. I used to make a habit of doing it for a few hours every Tuesday after class, but, er, that was back when I was in school and not working. And weekends I've tended to have errands or plans or it's been too grim and cold to want to go outside somewhere.

But yes! I've been in a pretty good writing groove the past few days, and I continued in it today. I did that h_c fic, I've worked on kinkfest some, and I have something else substantial I'll probably have done in the relatively near future. :D

I, uh. I'm not sure it's something anyone else will actually be interested in. But I'm enjoying writing it a lot! >_>;
