alternative title: God hates me: A Seattle narrative
It has actually been fairly nice here for the past few weeks - warmish, even sunny for a lot of the time. I've picked the habit of walking home from work back up - there's a terribly convenient bus that runs directly from work to a block from my apartment which I usually take, but really, it's only a half hour walk, which is nice when it's sunny.
This morning when I went out to wait for the bus to work it was raining. That actually hadn't happened in quite a while; the thing you have to understand about Seattle is that while it rains a lot, it doesn't rain constantly, so really the probability of it raining in any particular five minute period is really rather low. And, true to form, it cleared up not too long after I got to work - even got some sunbreaks in the afternoon.
