1) No one should ever stop their car and ask me directions on the street.
Not only am I unlikely to be able to give driving directions (or directions at all outside a few-block radius), even if I know where they're trying to go I give wrong directions about 70% of the time. And then they drive their car away and immediately afterwards I think crap, er, and by two blocks that way, I meant more like six and I feel terrible. So. Someone send out a memo.

2) English needs to start using Japanese-style suffixes. And then, uh, spread their use back in time to 1930?
I know using Japanese suffixes in English fic in a canon as thoroughly American as Baccano! is ridiculous, but Graham refers to Ladd as Ladd-aniki in my head, and it feels really weird to have him call him just by name.

3) Patching gaping holes in a new ship two weeks before launch > trying to design and build an entire section of the ship (in a few days) two weeks before launch. More energizing, less soul-suckingly depressing.
My (nonessential) part of the project I was supposed to have done by Monday (hahahaha) got moved to post-launch. Now I'm just fixing (essential) things that are terribly broken while everyone else on my team tries to get their (essential) parts done in time. Woo!
...our last big launch went remarkably smoothly, so I guess all this panic and doom is evening things out?
