dream; meme (those rhyme BTW)
So apparently a lot of people have nightmares about their teeth falling out? I've seen this mentioned two entirely separate places in the past couple of months. I definitely have them, and I had one last night.

In my case, rather than breaking or crumbling or anything, my teeth just... are really loose in my mouth, and come out really easily and painlessly if I pull on them, only a bit slick with blood. IT IS IMMENSELY DISTRESSING.

Last night in particular I also had multiple sets of teeth growing in my mouth at once. (Like adult teeth coming in under baby teeth - I have heard this actually happened to someone in my family a while ago. A great-grandfather(?) who grew a second set of adult teeth under his first, like a shark.) So the teeth-loose-falling-out part didn't leave me with no teeth. Instead I had to look and see teeth growing in at weird angles or in pieces around the other ones, and pull those ones out while trying to keep the actual correct teeth in my mouth despite the fact that they were loose too and shifted around in my gums. And for whatever reason, I did this while going about my daily business, so occasionally I'd end up slipping a handful of tooth-bits into my pockets. AAAAUGH SO DISTRESSING.

Anyway, I woke up from this an hour or two before my alarm went off, and spent that time lying in bed trying to convince myself to go back to sleep. And failing, as my brain kept coming back to the dream, or alternately seizing on bad things about anything else I thought about. I am feeling somewhat better now, but when I finally got out of bed I was surly and headachey. >_>
